How can we better support young people in turning their ideas into meaningful action?
Within the Get On the Action Train (GOAT) project, a new guidebook for youth initiatives has been developed to provide inspiration, tools, and practical guidance for supporting young people in the creation and implementation of their own initiatives. The GOAT project is focused on empowering youth, supporting youth workers, and fostering active youth participation across Europe.
The guidebook is designed as a useful resource for those who work with young people and want to encourage them in their first steps, help them shape and communicate their ideas more effectively, and support them in using the right methods and tools to increase the impact of their initiatives. This aim is consistent with the wider GOAT approach, which includes a methodology for youth workers, educational materials, multimedia resources, and an online platform for learning and exchange.
Through the project website, users can access the Youth Workers Corner, where the guidebook is presented alongside other resources such as curricula, a competence map, and a podcast. These materials are part of the project’s effort to strengthen the capacity of youth workers and to give young people the support they need to turn ideas into real community action.
We believe it is time to give more space and voice to young people and to equip those who support them with practical, accessible, and motivating resources.
You can explore the GOAT platform and discover the available learning materials on the official project website.
