The Bulgarian pilot edition of the Empower Youth programme was completed at the end of the 2025/2026 school year. The programme aims to support the well-being and resilience of young people aged 14-18 through structured activities focused on personal development, self-awareness, coping with challenges, and building more resilient attitudes.

In Bulgaria, the pilot activities were implemented by trained facilitators in four schools in Sofia and Plovdiv, as well as at the Sofia Youth Centre. The programme reached dozens of students and provided a space for discussion, learning, and shared reflection on topics related to mental health, well-being, and youth resilience.

The pilot process was carried out in parallel by project partners in Italy and Iceland. The results from the three countries will now be processed and analysed in order to assess the programme’s impact and explore opportunities for its future implementation.

A final project event is planned for early October, where the programme, its achievements, and the next steps will be presented. The event will also contribute to a broader public discussion on the well-being and resilience of young people.

Further information about the upcoming event will be announced soon.
