We are proud to share that the first official meeting with the three winning teams from Bulgaria under the Get On the Action Train (GOAT) project has now taken place.
The selection process was long and highly competitive, with many strong applications showing creativity, motivation, and commitment. Following this important stage, the first meeting with the selected teams marked the beginning of their structured support journey within the project.
During the meeting, several key next steps were presented and discussed, including the competence map assessment, team presentations and photos, SMART planning of the project ideas, the upcoming series of online webinars, and the development of an individual mentoring schedule for each team.
These activities fit well within the wider GOAT project framework, which includes a digital platform with a virtual classroom, interactive materials, a forum, and a dedicated Youth Workers Corner with resources such as the Competence Map, guidebook, curricula, and podcast.
According to the GOAT project platform, the Competence Map is designed as a self-assessment tool for young people before and after implementing their youth initiatives, helping them reflect on learning outcomes and identify areas for further development. It can also support youth workers as a guide for competence development.
We are inspired by the energy, vision, and enthusiasm of these young innovators and look forward to seeing how their ideas will grow in the coming months.
Stay tuned – we will be introducing the teams soon.
