One of the winning Bulgarian teams in the GOAT competition, Career Consulting, is working with a clear mission: to help young people from smaller towns make more informed choices about their future education and professional path. Through mentoring and guidance, the team aims to create a sustainable model of career support that connects students with inspiring professionals from real practice.
An important first step has already been taken. According to a news item published by P. R. Slaveykov Secondary School in Kardzhali, 20 eleventh-grade students took part in an interactive career development session as the first phase of the GOAT initiative. During the activity, the students worked with a career consultant, completed questionnaires, and received individual profiles and guidance related to possible professional directions.
The next stage of the initiative is to connect students with mentors from different professional fields, who can share real experience, practical advice, and personal inspiration. This is why the team is now looking for motivated professionals who would like to become role models for young people and contribute to their journey of career exploration.
Mentors are especially welcome from fields such as law, sales, diplomacy, teaching, office management, architecture, policing, dental technology, radiology, pedagogy, psychology, Bulgarian language and literature, dental medicine, human medicine, research, and clinical psychology. The main requirement is to have professional experience and a willingness to support students through several conversations and guidance sessions.
If you believe you can help a young person discover their path, we encourage you to join this initiative.
