On 27 March 2025, an information and introductory event dedicated to the EmpowerYouth programme was held at the Youth Community Center Magnit in Sofia. The programme is an educational initiative aimed at strengthening resilience and socio-emotional skills among young people.

The event was organised by the Youth Center Sofia and facilitated by youth workers Gabriela and Rada, with the participation of young people interested in joining the programme. During the session, the concept of EmpowerYouth was presented, including its structure (12 modules) and key thematic areas such as emotional resilience, stress and anxiety management, and building healthy relationships.

Participants took part in an interactive session to share their expectations, highlighting interests related to gaining knowledge, practical experience, and personal development. The facilitators Gabriela, Dafina, Elitsa, and Magdalena presented insights from the pilot implementation of the programme in Bulgarian schools, complemented by feedback from current participants.

As part of the practical demonstration, participants selected the module “Bullying and Prejudice” for more in-depth exploration. Through interactive methods, including open questions and sociometric exercises, the session stimulated active discussion and reflection on the topic.

As a result of the event, a new group of participants was formed and will take part in the upcoming edition of the EmpowerYouth programme at the Youth Center Sofia. The training will be delivered by certified facilitators Gabriela and Rada.

The National Management School supports the implementation of innovative approaches in youth work and continues to contribute to the development and dissemination of sustainable practices in the field of non-formal education.
