The WIN – Improving the position of women in the labour markets of peripheral industrial regions project has released its third newsletter, highlighting significant progress and key developments in its mission to foster gender equality across the Danube Region.
This edition introduces two major deliverables:
- the Peer Review on Women’s Employment Policies, documenting transnational policy exchange and good practices for women’s labour market integration;
- the Comparative Study on the Position of Women in Peripheral Industrial Regions, offering fresh insights into systemic challenges women face in male-dominated sectors and identifying pathways for progress.
In addition, the newsletter announces the launch of the WIN Awareness-Raising Campaign, now active across all seven pilot regions. This campaign has already sparked inspiring local events around International Women’s Day in countries including Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic. These community-driven activities are raising visibility for women’s contributions and opening important conversations about inclusive solutions.
Looking ahead, the newsletter provides a preview of the upcoming third partner meeting, scheduled for May in Loznica, Serbia, where project stakeholders will continue collaboration, review progress, and plan future activities.
Stay tuned for more updates and stories of change in the WIN project’s next newsletter edition.
