The final international conference of the Erasmus+ project G.O.A.T. – Get On the Action Train was held on 28 August 2025 at the Celje Youth Center in Slovenia. The event brought together project partners, local stakeholders, and young people to reflect on the achievements of the project and to celebrate the impact of youth-led action across Europe.

The conference opened with a presentation of the project’s main goals and results. During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the key outputs developed within GOAT, including the methodology for youth work, the eHUB platform with virtual classrooms, the youth initiative competition, and a range of multimedia and educational resources for youth workers and young people.

A central moment of the programme was the panel discussion on youth participation at local, national, and European level, which included the Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Celje, Mr. Samo Seničar, together with representatives of partner organisations. The discussion focused on the challenges of meaningful youth engagement and on the role that institutions and organisations can play in strengthening youth participation.

The conference also gave the floor to young people. Winners of the GOAT international competition presented their initiatives, including Dominik from Slovakia, who introduced a project for a student coworking space, and Aljaž from Slovenia, who presented the Break the Floor initiative. Additional winning projects from Germany, Greece, and Bulgaria were shared through video presentations.

The official programme concluded with networking among young people, stakeholders, and policymakers, followed by a cultural performance by Trio Firšt, which added a festive and inspiring close to the event. The conference showed once again how the GOAT project has helped empower young people, support youth workers, and encourage active participation in communities across Europe.
